Brian is not happy. His wife thinks he is a misanthropist, but Brian thinks it is just that he hates most people.
He never really wanted to be a doctor. But he is, and he does not like what he sees. Conceit, philandering, and dissembling, with pharma feeding at the trough whilst acting as puppeteer for his colleagues. It feels as if the tainted blood scandal is simply inconvenient. And then his colleagues start dying. There is a murderer in the hospital who clearly shares some of Brian’s disdain for doctors. So far their choice of victim is of some comfort to Brian until he realises he is next on the list.
